Another year passes...

 

In 12 hours, 2013 will be in the past.  This has been a year of great adventures, the forging of amazing friendships, and new personal insights.  I am very much looking forward to what the new year has to offer - keeping in mind that life is what we make it.  It's going to be another good year!

The Transylvania trip was amazing!  Delightful to be in a place where so much attention has been paid to the details... the architecture was incredible!

This shot needs some editing, but it was such a good start to the trip I had to put it in!  This was at the restaurant tonight (caru' cu bere - "something with beer".... we never did find out) and it was amazing, both the food and the building.  Wow.

However, it took me about an hour to get this one post done, so this may be it for the next 10 days.... And then we all get to re-live the trip again!

Went out to Roseisle on the weekend to admire the fall colors - the patina on these old cars was incredible! 

fall is feeling sassy, sporting new gold teeth and colors of goodbye...

The colors change so fast... and the best place to view that seems to be from the 17th floor of a Winnipeg condo balcony.  Front row seat.

Today was a stormy day...  reminded me of one of the game drives in Kenya this past June - the occasional spattering of rain on the camera, the clouds putting on a magnificent display...  perfect photograph weather.

The Steinbach Mennonite Heritage Village had it's annual Fall on the Farm last weekend, so once again I packed up the camera and headed out there.  What a great visit!  It seems that one can go to that event on a yearly basis and still find new and interesting things to photograph.  I'm a fan.  The 2014 date is already booked in my calendar.

Two weeks to Kenya!  I've been doing some hunting here at home, trying to get the perfect animal action shot....  This one might not be perfect, but it sure was fun!  My tiny Lioness!
